Time for our post surgery scan!
I am very excited/nervous/anxious to see how the surgery has affected things. Fingers crossed the ventricles have reduced and baby is doing well! Can’t expect too much at this stage as it has only been a week but any glimmer of hope will be amazing. My husband has packed all my bags on the ward…so long as this scan goes well I can go home! Very excited and can’t wait to get out of here.
Even though I have had some lovely midwives and nurses looking after me, I am not going to lie, a few (1 in particular) have been horrendous. Even this morning I got told off for having my TV too loud (I could barely hear it and another midwife who came round earlier rolled her eyes and said really!?!?) This particular midwife has been consistently rude to all of the patients she has dealt with (no bed side manner) and constantly rude to her colleagues. She has made no effort to talk to me or even give a smile despite being on shift several times over my stay. Quite frankly I have no idea how her colleagues put up with her and I will be glad to see the back of her! The other midwives know she’s a d@*k and weren’t surprised by my complaint against her. Honestly can not explain how rude she is to everyone she speaks to.
Despite this idiot there were some amazing nurses and midwives, so I wrote a card to them to say thank you and made sure there was cake! What’s a thank you without my favourite – Patisserie Valerie! Also one for my heroes in FMU who have been amazing and always looked after me.

I will let you know how I get on after the scan, fingers crossed!!!
